Attendance
Attendance at the Academy is vital to allow your child to make progress. The academy has a high value on students being in every single day so they maximize their potential.
Excellent attendance is high profile and we promote this through prize draws, letters home and celebration in assemblies.
Poor attendance is challenged but we look to support parents and students in ensuring that students are in the academy every day.

Punctuality
Punctuality is essential to ensuring that your child gets the most out of their time at school.
It is an important life skill that your child will need as they become young adults and enter the world of work. Poor punctuality is not acceptable. If your child misses the start of the day they can miss work and do not spend time with their class teacher getting vital information and news for the day.
Students who arrive late to school make up their time by attending an afternoon detention (30 minutes) with a designated member of staff.
The academys’ strategy for punctuality is detailed below:
- Late to school – after school detention.
Attenance patterns will be mointored and parents will be contacted accordingly.
